I love these instructions its easy to follow and you provide pictures of what it should look like, and you show pictures of the supplies that you need …i have one question what is the name of your plastic ruler you have called?? And where can i find that at walmart or my local fabric store??

the reason that your blanket turned into a sort of giant shower cap is that you tied the knots too tightly. You want them to be snug but not super tight or they will do that.

Thanks for the easy, quick directions. Some I’ve seen online make it look so cmplicated. I am helping my neighbor who is ill make one of these and she will be able to follow these instructions without any trouble.

this is my 2nd comment. I’ve read about corners that pucker? Mine don’t and I believe it is because I have a finger behind the knot I’m tying, tie it good and tight and then pull down on the strip away from the blanket. Works for me.

After cutting my first stip to tie (1″x4″) I put a straight pin up and down on the 2nd strip to be cut close to the raw edge, then cut that stip and place another straight pin on the next stip to be cut. This keeps all the pieces together and it is less likely you will accidentally tie two pieces next to each other as the stips are not flying all over the place, they are all pinned together. This does not take a lot of time and as I tie each knot I of course take the pins out one at a time. I wouldn’t make a blanket any other way. Just double check after the blanket is finished that you check for all pins. Also, to tie a good tight knot I take the first finger of my left hand and place it behind where I’m tying each knot and that way you can add pressure from the top and bottom of your knot. This works perfectly for me. Also, buying fabric in the summer will save you money as fleece doesn’t usually sell in the summer. Small stores have walked me back to their storeroom to pick out my fabric and I’ve saved lots of money doing this. Happy Knotting!!
